AUTOPISTA CARACAS-LA GUAIRA • En Latinoamérica, Venezuela ocupa el quinto lugar en tasa de mortalidad por accidentes viales y el puesto 10 en el mundo, según estimaciones de la OMS. • Los accidentes son la quinta causa de muerte en Venezuela, después del cáncer, enfermedades cardiovasculares, homicidios y diabetes. • Venezuela ocupa el primer lugar en tasa de mortalidad por causas de muertes causadas por vehículos en las Américas y el Caribe, es decir, que por cada cien mil habitantes, mueren 22,7 al año. www.partidounnuevotiempo.org
