Basic tools/objects This is me creating a simple box in Flash. To do this I clicked on the rectangle tool which is located on the left interface. Then all you have to do is click and drag to make the box size of your choice.
Colour tools • This is me demonstrating how to use colours in flash. Click on the shape that you want to change the colour of and down on the bottom interface you will be able to click on a bucket tool which will enable you to change the colour of your object.
Text tools • This is a picture demonstrating me using text tools. To do this click on the ‘T’ shape found on the left hand side interface, after doing this you should be able to draw out a text box where you can type in text and choose what colour and font to have it in.
Animation • This image shows part of my game where Jennifer (the Girl in pink shorts) is waving. You cant see her waving as it is a screen shot but if you look at the timeline you can see that there is motion tweens involved meaning that there is some motion involved.
Assets • Here is a picture of one of my assets. To create this I used Adobe Illustrator. First I created the outline, thickened the lines and gave the heart some colour. After creating my asset I could copy it into Flash where I could give it some animation.
Advanced tools • The Eyedropper tool is used to make things the exact same colour as some thing else on your flash document. For example, here I have a square that I want to change the colour of. Select the square and then select the Eyedropper tool, after doing this I select a colour from the colour chart I have got and the square should now be the exact colour that I have chosen.
Saving • To save a flash document you first have to go to the top left of the page click on file then scroll down to ‘save as’ click on that and another window should pop-up allowing you to nave your file and where to save it, click on save and you file will now be saved to your documents.
Exporting • This Is a simple flash document of a couple of boxes that I quickly created I would like to export these as an image so first you have to go to File, Export then Export image.
Exporting • After clicking Export image a new window will open letting you choose where you want to save your exported file and what to call it.
