  1. MIS 360Project Final By: Josh Heitman For: Professor Johnson

  2. Bill to Law • I really enjoyed using the ARCS Model, it demonstrated what to focus on..and what not • Argument on House Floor

  3. Bill to Law Lesson Plan

  4. The Future • Whenever I think of the future, I always think of the ‘Year 2000’ skit on Conan O’Brien-I don’t know why?? • The older clips of the skit is on YouTube of course, and too juvenile to play here. • I enjoy the realm of sci-fi movies and believe that the recent circus atmosphere in Washington will produce a world ran by robot monkeys.

  5. The Resume Assignment • Getting a job is PRIORITY #1 after graduation • Keeping an updated resume handy is always a GREAT IDEA!

  6. GradeBook Spreadsheet

  7. Probably my favorite!!!!!! Wiki Page Bill to Law I really enjoyed this assignment. I found the PB works site to be so user friendly. I know the Bill-Law stuff is boring to some, but I placed links to everyone involved in Missouri/Federal government so that students or concerned citizens could immediately get a hold of any elected official. I was very pleased with the creation.

  8. Webpage Using Pageflakes I enjoyed this project as well because I can post information that will guide my future students in the right direction. The site was not as user friendly as PBworks, but I think my dinosaur/legacy system @ home has something to do with that. Specifically, the only thing not user friendly was moving the windows around, I probably do not have enough RAM!!!

  9. ……...More info on Pageflakes From an educational standpoint the assignment was awesome! Having the ability to customize news, weather reports, and even traffic conditions is an invaluable tool-truly an authentic learning experience for all. Hopefully the link works, if not the screenprintis always a trusty backup.

  10. Screen Print-Easy as apple pie

  11. The alternative lesson plan • This assignment was challenging, because I hate math, but I plan on substituting so I have to be ready. • I have enjoyed this course because technology driven lessons like this enabled me to grow professionally. • Angel for the most part is pretty reliable, as long as email can be a backup; I have no complaints.

  12. Math is my friend??? Math Lesson I wish I could blast math equations for real

  13. Grants • I found the grant search assignment to be very enlightening, it can be a full-time job itself to plan, find, and implement instructional technology grants. • In the end, another worthwhile assignment because educators must take the reigns with this process, if not no one else will. • I have a few ideas on what prevents further development…………

  14. Barriers to Technology

  15. The Ultimate Barrier

  16. Curriculum Page & Rubric I tried to make the page F-U-N Students watch a lot of movies-why not steer them towards the historical ones??? I practiced Excel skills learned from the ‘Gradebook’ project I also weaved several rubrics together-designed with high-school students in mind

  17. Webpage using HTML An excellent assignment-hard work builds character. Also, knowing a fraction of what it takes to be a programmer I feel so much better about my career choice. I have relied extensively on Google Images and Google docs-I am hooked Here is another link HTML

  18. My Opinion- • I have gained great confidence in the use of instructional technology from this course. • It is a convenient alternative in the summer semester-especially with gas @ $4.00/Gal. • However, I am a very social person, and will always enjoy classes on campus. • In the end I would be willing to do a 50/50 approach; but an approach not mixed: one semester completely online, the other traditional style.

  19. In Summary • I can’t emphasize enough how much I learned. • I wouldn’t change a thing about the course. • You will definitely see me in August!!!
