Sight Distances • Definition • Sight Distance is the length of a road visible to a driver clear of objects while driving a vehicle. • The Sight Distances can be split up into the following two broad categories: • Stopping Sight Distance (Non-passing or Non-overtaking Sight Distance); and • Passing or Overtaking Sight Distance.
