Elephant Talk Communications Corp. • Elephant Talk has developed a comprehensive package of configurable, easy to define promotions that can apply on selected rate plans. • The promotions schemes discussed below include Friends & Family model, Unit based promotions, Behavior and Consumption Promotions, Points Redemption against Network Services, Event based promotions and Mixed Promotions. • Promotions can require a specific sign-up or be generic. • In the case that two promotions can be applicable, a Priority parameter is checked in order to determine which promotion shall apply first. When one promotion is exhausted, then the next applicable promotion is used. If all applicable promotions are consumed, then normal applicable.

Elephant Talk Communications Corp. • In this approach, Online SessionAuthorization, Monitoring and Charging is managed by the central Platform using parameters as set in the different reusable modules and information provisioned from outside in the database or online using a Framework API. • For example, defining complex promotion schemes become a straightforward operation: • A Promotion is created with free-airtime to registered Subscribers, while the subscriber is automatically signed-up for this promotion when a certain event occurs as a top-up for a minimum amount through a particular channel (e.g. 10 euro through ATM). When a call is placed later, the promotion is identified as active for that subscriber and applied by the Rating Engine.

Elephant Talk Communications Corp. • Standard Promotion Fee Management • Fees can be of one of the following categories when applies (e.g. Friends & Family) • Set-up fee (when inserting the first number in a call category) • Change fee (when adding a new number in a call category) • Periodical fee (charged automatically every period of time). • All fees are automatically deducted from the prepaid balance at the beginning of the valid period. • If the balance does not allow for automatic charge of the fee at the beginning of the period cycle, then it will be automatically deduced from next top-up amount. • As a general rule, if no credit is available on the account, then the service is not activated, i.e. the service can be provisioned, but the customer profile will indicate that it is flagged as NOT-PAID (Inactive).

MIXED BUNDLE • With Mixed bundle, different traffic types (SMS, MMS, Data, national Voice, etc.) can be provisioned under one promotion, having different promotion plan details in the same promotion plan. • That is to say, the promotion can now mixSMSwith MMS, or SMS and national Voice, or roaming Voice and SMS which allows you to customize your product for different groups of customers. • For example, you can combine a number of calls, and text messages (SMS), with a bigger amount of data in a promotion that you target at the customers who use their credit to surf the net mostly. • Also with Mixed Bundle feature, you can configure SMS messageswith different parameters to be sent for different types of traffic that you included in your promotion. Texts will be sent when a certain predefined threshold in the promotion detail lifecycle is crossed, so customerswill be notifiedwhen on of the subservices of the promotion plan is 90% used, or 100% used and which is only 80% used, etc. As you can see in the screen a combination of 3 traffic types is configured in one promotion for HITS: - Mobile Voice - Mobile Data -Mobile SMS

STA CONTROL • STA Control (Special Tariff Account Control) is a solution to give some extra credit to your customers under a certain promotion plan and be able to control the way they can spend that bonus. The bonus credit is stored in a dedicated account (the ‘promoted balance account’) so that you can easily distinguish it from the regular credit. This separate account also lets you manage the promoted balance of your customers, top it up, delete it and adjust it at your will. • What are the benefits of having STA control? • STA control is a way of encouraging your customers to benefit from promotions that best meet their needs. Since the promotion can be adjusted at your will, it can be aimed at a specific audience. • Flexible configuration settings • Customizable services • Customizable duration • Adjustable promoted credit and topups • Adjustable destination numbers • SMS notification • ETBOSS API functionality • Reports: detailed CDRs (Charging Data Records) • For example, you can promoteyour preferred traffic type or direction for this account to discourage spending it on special rate services and encourage on net calls. When an event that meets the preferred traffic criteria is made, it is charged from the customer's promoted balance account, unless there is no credit left in it. In that case, their normal credit account will be charged. • STA Control presents a lot of advantages with regard to the normal balance service.
Elephant Talk Communications Corp. QoS DATA CONTROL • This promotion offers a solution for QoS management when multiple promotions for Data traffic are in use. This service STA Control (Special Tariff Account Control) is a solution to give some extra credit to your customers • LOGIC 1 • Neosky • 1. If customer has activedata promotions, data QoSis at normal level. • 2. Once ALL the data promotions are exhausted, Fake promotion is applied and triggers the QoSdowngrading after exhaustion. • 3. When customer subscribes a newpromotion or makes a renewal, QoSautomatically goes back to normal level, Fake promotion is re-activated. • Over-the-limit rate plan is only to be set in the fake promotion and this fake promotion is by default applied to every customer of Neosky. • This promotion works with any national data promotion, or any combination of national data promotions.

This service STA Control (Special Tariff Account Control) is a solution to give some extra credit to your customers • LOGIC 2 • BT • With BT data promotion, we are working on a different way as we do for Neosky. The QoSis based on the APNas per data promotion, and is configurableat MVNO level. • Once the QoS promotion is exhausted, it will be automatically downgraded until next month due to promotion’s Life Cycle, the promotion will be reset and the theQoS will be upgraded. In this case, currently we only support the customer who has one data promotion active at one time. To support more than 1 promotion, we can use the fake promotion solution.

ON-NET BUNDLES • This promotion allows you to provision the customer with on-net bundles on real time after a top-up eventis made that fullfils certain conditions. • Example, Lebara to Lebara (on-net) offers outgoing voice minutes when their customers do a standard credit recharge. • The promotion consists of Topping up “X” denomination and Getting “Y” On-net bundle size which has a Validity Period of “Z”. • X, Yand Z are configurable items. • All recharge channels will be qualified for this promotion – Scratch cards, E-top up, Online. A 5.000 minutes on net call bundle with a validity period of 7 days will be given upon top up >= €5. The bundle will expire at the exact time point when the bundle is obtained. For example, a seven day bundle obtained through a top up done at 15:00 on 04/04/12 will expire at 15:00 on 11/04/12.

SUPER ON-NET PROMOTION • This promotion allows you to provision the customer with SuperOn-net events (calls, SMS, data) • Example, TheVoice_on_net promotion detail, applies to the mobile voice type of traffic (Service: Mobile and Subservice: Mobile Voice). • Customers have 15 euros to spend • on it (Limit: 15.00 and Currency: • EUR) within the validity period of • the promotion. • As you can see, the promotion applies to on net calls for a MVNO with the id 970XXX (White List: N970XXX) and also applies to Supet On Net calls • The SuperOnnetservice can be configurable to Data, Voiceand SMSservices.
Elephant Talk Communications Corp. NORMAL VOICE • This service consists of the provision of generic voice promotions. • Forexample, this is a periodicgenericpromotion for Voiceset up for Neosky. Customers have 500 minutes to spend on any voice events during a certain period. • In this case, itis set to automaticallyrenew, whichmeansthe promotion is automatically renewed at the end of the established validity period whenever the balance is sufficient for renewal; if not sufficient, the promotion remains indefinitely on stand-by and will be automatically renewed when there is again enough balance for the renewal. • As set up to RemoveImmediately, the promotion will be removed immediately after its cancellation (if cancelled). • The promotionlimitwill be resetonce thepromotionisrenewed. • As Exclusive is on, when used along with another promotion, only the higher priority Promotion will be applied and the lower priority Promotion will be ignored.
Elephant Talk Communications Corp. NORMAL SMS • This service consists of the provision of generic SMS promotions • Forexample, this is a periodicgenericpromotion for SMS traffic. Customers have 20 free SMSs to send to any national number. • In this case, itis set to renewautomatically, whichmeansthe promotion is automatically renewed at the end of the established validity period whenever the balance is sufficient for renewal; if not sufficient, the promotion remains indefinitely on stand-by and will be automatically renewed when there is again enough balance for the renewal. • As set up to RemoveImmediately, the promotion will be removed immediately after its cancellation (if cancelled). • The promotionlimitwill be resetonce thepromotionisrenewed. • As Accumulative is on, customer will accumulate the SMSs that are still unused when applying to another promotion. For example, the new promotion comes with 30 free SMSs, but customer has 10 unused SMSs from the previous promotion, so he or she will have a total of 40 SMSs to use.

Customers have a limit of 1536 Mbytes to spend on data events. • In this case, itis set to renewautomatically, whichmeansthe promotion is automatically renewed at the end of the established validity period whenever the balance is sufficient for renewal; if not sufficient, the promotion remains indefinitely on stand-by and will be automatically renewed when there is again enough balance for the renewal. • As set up to RemoveImmediately, the promotion will be removed immediately after its cancellation (if cancelled). • The promotionlimitwill be resetonce thepromotionisrenewed. • As SMSnotification is on, different SMS can be sent to the customer when a certain predefined data threshold is crossed.

MIXED VOICE BUNDLE • With this promotion you can provision your customers with mixed voice services. • Thispromotion allows you to set up a promotion with mixed voice services. In this example, we can see a periodicgenericpromotion for Voice traffic where customers have 10 minutes for mobile callback events and 10 minutes of mobile normal voice calls. • In this case, itis set to Resetby subscribe time, whichhe promotion will be reset after the time specified in Subscription Unit and Subscription Period, counting as of the exact time the subscription was made. Since the unit is 1 month it will end after one month and not at the end of the month. (If made on the 15/05/2014, it will expire the 15/06/2014). • As set up to RemoveImmediately, the promotion will be removed immediately after its cancellation (if cancelled). • The promotionlimitwill be resetonce thepromotionisrenewed.
