Disruptive Technologies: • Digitization - electronic products & services • can increase reach • Mobile devices - ubiquitous computing • World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) – standards for easier access via mobile devices • Web 2.0 - 2G of web communities & hosted services for collaboration • increasing social & political impact • “Semantic" web - meaning of content labeled for integration • Extensible Markup Language (XML) describes concepts, terms, & relationships
