  2. the universe • Stars are formed in nebulas. • Scientists sort galaxies by shape: spirals, elliptical, barred spirals, and odd shaped. • One of the weirdest objects in space are dark holes.

  3. Nebulas Stars are formed in nebulas. They are clouds of gas like hydrogen. They make stars that eat up the nebula, and float away.

  4. Galaxies Scientists sort galaxies by shape: spirals, elliptical, barred spirals, and odd shaped. Most galaxies form at different rates. Some are ten times brighter than ours.

  5. Dark Holes One of the weirdest objects in space is a dark hole. They are made when matter is squished together. Nothing can escape dark holes not even light. Scientists see large amounts of matter being sucked in.
