Recycle Rally Program Participation Overview • School’s designated Program Administrator will coordinate the collection of empty non-alcoholic plastic bottles and aluminum cans and oversee the sorting and bagging of recyclables. • KPB will provide 90-gallon outdoor bins for the collection of recyclables. • KPB will weigh and record the collected recyclables into a web-based data entry system. • Eligible schools collect points for the contest prizes during the corresponding contest periods. (1 lb. ALUM = 30 points; 1 lb. PET/PETE = 16 points). • KPB will haul the recyclables away to designated drop-off location. • Program Administrators will log into their online account to redeem points for prizesand track their progress.

Recycle Rally Participation Requirements • To ensure contest integrity, we require active program participants to upload a minimum of 25 lbs. of recyclables per week with a target performance level of 100 lbs. per week. • Schools will collect and turn in both Plastic #1 PET/PETE and aluminum beverage containers toward Recycle Rally program. • Both Plastic #1 PET/PETE and aluminum will be picked up from the schools by KPB.

  5. Recycle Rally Program – Program Administrator • Each school will have a designated Program Administrator. The school’s Program Administrator will be responsible for: • Being the primary point of contact and program advocate • Establishing a recycling initiative at their school • Introducing the program to the community • Communicating information to students and parents • Collaborating with KPB Team • Maintaining active status in the Recycle Rally program • Earning prizes

Recycle Rally Program – Step 1 Establish An Account • Recycle Rally Team will establish one account for each participating school on the official website. • Launch www.PepsiCoRecycling.com. • Create a User Name • Create a Password • The User Name and Password will be used to access each school account: • By KPB to enter the school’s weight data. • By the Program Administrator to track leaderboard standing and redeem points for prizes.

Recycle Rally Program – Step 2 Collecting Recyclables • Schools collect non-alcoholic Plastic #1 PET or PETE and aluminum beverage containers toward Recycle Rally participation. • KPB may pick up other recyclable material from schools; however, only Plastic #1 PET or PETE and aluminum beverage containers can be counted toward the Recycle Rally’s current school year and semester contests.

Recycle Rally Program – Step 3 Separating Recyclables • Schools will establish a team of students and/or volunteers to sort the Plastic #1 PET or PETE from the aluminum into separate bags. • Separate the acceptable and unacceptable materials. • Empty the contents from bottles and cans. • The acceptable materials will be sorted into two categories. • #1 PET/PETE Plastic • Aluminum • Refer to the User Guide to determine Acceptable/Unacceptable materials. • KPB can provide training to properly and quickly sort recyclables.

  12. Recycle Rally Program – Step 4 Weighing Recyclables • KPB will use an e-scale to weigh bags of recyclable products. • KPB will record the weight of each bag on a Recycle Rally Pick Up Sheet for each school.

  13. Recycle Rally Program – Step 5 Reporting Activity • KPB will drop off collected recyclables to Waste Management. • KPB will report recyclable activity to each school account each time material is hauled from a school.

  14. Recycle Rally Program – Adding New Activity • KPB will launch www.PepsiCoRecycling.com then log in using the school’s User Name and Password.

Recycle Rally Program – Step 5 Reporting Activity • Once Add Activity is selected, a blank data entry row will appear. • Select the Material TypeAluminum or Plastic #1 – PET/PETE). • Enter weight in pounds (Entry may range from 0 – 100 lbs. to the nearest tenth of a pound). • If you have more than 100 lbs. to report at a time then you will need to spread them across multiple entries. • Assign weight entry to ‘Undesignated’ Teacher Account • Click Add.

Recycle Rally Program – Step 5 Reporting Activity • Once the first entry is added, the entry will appear in the top half of the Existing Recycling Activities section. • To add more data, click the green Add Activity button. • If you make a mistake on an entry and have not submitted it, click Delete; then re-enter the data. If you notice an error after the data has been submitted, select Modify Previous Activity.

  19. Recycle Rally Program – Step 5 Reporting Activity • A running log of totals will appear in the bottom half of this section. When all entries have been made, click the green submit button.

Recycle Rally Program – Confirming and Submitting • Upon submitting the entries, a message will appear to instruct KPB to Confirm and Submit Recycling. • The total pounds of aluminum and plastic containers entered will display. Validate that totals show up correctly. The message will also ask for validation that only recycled containers that are designated as allowable by the program have been entered. • Click the box next to each statement if both statements are verified. • Then click Confirm. • Click Unsure to return to the Recycling Activities page where you can modify the data entry activity as necessary.

Recycle Rally Program – Confirming and Submitting • Upon selecting Confirm, all recycling activity will be saved and point transactions will be added to the account. • The page will reload and they may continue entering more recycling if necessary; otherwise, they may choose to navigate to a different page on the site.

Recycle Rally Program – Step 6 Verifying Points • Verify that point transactions appear on the account by selecting the School Activity tab from main menu. • Verify that the correct points appear under the school account. • Verify that the Points Summary shows all transactions to date. • KPB will repeat process to record weight data for each school.

  24. Recycle Rally Program – Step 7 Redeeming Points • When a school is ready to redeem points, the Administrator will launch www.PepsiCoRecycling.comthen login using the school’s User Name and Password.

  26. Recycle Rally Program – Step 7 Redeeming Points The Rewards Category menu will appear. Select the desired Reward Category by clicking on one of the category icons.

  27. Recycle Rally Program – Step 7 Redeeming Points • If gift card rewards is selected, a list of retailers will appear. The school’s point balance will also be displayed. • 5,000 points minimum are required for the minimum gift card value of $10.00. If the account is less than 5,000 points, they will not be able to redeem for prizes. They will be able to view the availability of gift cards by each retailer though.

  29. Recycle Rally Program – Step 7 Redeeming Points • Click on the retailer of choice to view available rewards. • For this example Best Buy was selected. The page will display the available rewards from the retailer, the price in points, and the school’s point balance. • Select the item for which you would like to redeem points by clicking on the tag. To view other rewards, select a category from the menu on the left.

  30. Recycle Rally Program – Step 7 Redeeming Points Upon selecting a reward, an item summary will appear. The summary will show the retailer’s icon, gift card description, point balance and points required for redemption. Add item to cart.

Recycle Rally Program – Step 7 Redeeming Points • Once items have been added to the cart, the order will need to be confirmed. • Upon placing the order, a confirmation email will be received. • 10-14 days will be advised to allow for the order to be processed. • For order inquires, the Administrator is advised to email Support@PepsiCoRecycling.com or call 888-875-6555.

  33. Recycle Rally Program – Step 8 Tracking the Contest • The Administrator will need to frequently keep track of the school’s standings in the Recycle Rally Leaderboard. • There are two ways to check the school standings.

  35. Recycle Rally Program – Step 8 Tracking the Contest • To access Recycle Rally Schools if you are already logged in, the Administrator can navigate to the Program Info tab from the menu bar.

  37. Recycle Rally Program – Step 8 Tracking the Contest • Along the right hand side of the Recycle Rally home page, there is a section that says, ‘Who’s in the lead?’ • Click on the button that reads, ‘Find out where your school ranks’.

Recycle Rally Program – Step 8 Tracking the Contest • The Recycle Rally Leaderboard allows schools to search within a bracket to find a particular school. • Type in the school’s name just as it appears in the School Account. • Click Go. • You can also click on Bracket A, B, or C to view the top 10 schools in each bracket.
