Welcome to nqa Over a year ago, a communications forum meeting was establish to discuss the need to develop an internet forum for the use of NQA staff, International Partners, board member and other invited members The intention was to create a portal that Hosted and managed the document control of the NQA Quality Management system Provided discussion forums Permitted the up/download of files to facilitate information exchange Could host blogs Act as a global calendar for key events Sharepoint

  3. From this initial concept the desire to create a new NQA Information Management System evolved with specific objectives for the core elements of the system

  4. As a replacement for Quickplace • Document management system with version control • Definable access levels for team members and stakeholders • A manageable change notification system for version control • An audit trail of recent changes stipulating and evidencing authorisation • A means of allowing visibility of regulatory findings and associated corrective actions • A means of communicating regulatory news

  5. As a global communication tool • A discussion forum with mediator controls • A portal where electronic files can be uploaded/downloaded, exchanged and modified • Blogs • Calendars of Key Events • Visitor and member profiles and contact details – allocated on a country by country basis

  6. As a Marketing Tool • User profiles – name, photo, e-mail address, locations • User-groups/Member lists – to allow users to join special interest groups • Visibility – display who is online at any one time • Document search function, by author, post etc • FAQ – help sections for using the system • Ability to customise the look and feel of the site to promote the NQA Brand

Electronic Reporting • To integrate report receipt and report review interfaces • To ‘house’ received reports for later review and subsequent auditor access • To apply analysis tools to report fields to identify trends and opportunities • To use previous report information to populate future report data.

  19. Sharepoint – Next Steps We will collect up all your comments and feed these back to the IT team. Based on your thoughts we will finalise the development of the site in preparation for the launch of the live portal. We currently anticipate that we will be announcing the launch of the Live Portal in October, but look out for further updates and news. Any Questions?
