Study Goals & Objectives • Develop and implement a revised Interim Lake Regulation Schedule supported by a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement by January 2007. • The revised interim schedule goal is to provide for lower lake elevations with less high level Lake release to the estuaries, while meeting flood control, water supply, navigation and recreation performance measures.   3. Study Assumptions • No structural modifications are incorporated in this revised Lake regulation schedule. Only operational changes. • Existing condition year: 2005 • Base year: 2007 (will incorporate capacity of SFWMD’s Temporary Forward Pumps) • Revised Schedule’s Implementation Period: 2007 to 2010. • Corps will initiate new Lake Okeechobee Regulation Schedule & EIS in January 2007. This schedule will capture Acceler8 and other CERP Band 1 projects, and is scheduled for implementation in 2010. Lake Okeechobee Regulation Schedule

Public Coordination • Public can keep up with study progress by linking to Corps web site: http://hpm.saj.usace.army.mil/loweb/sfwmm/ • The Corps will host Public Workshops following the LO WRAC meetings in February and May 2006. • Public comments will be received during the 45 day comment period of draft SEIS and Lake Okeechobee Regulation Schedule, beginning in July 2006. • Public comments will be received at four Public Meetings that will be scheduled in August 2006.
