  3. Pageant • Noun • Definition: A performance in honor of a special event or holiday. • Example: Eva was in the Miss USA Pageant. The chorus performed at the Christmas Pageant.

  4. Restless • Adjective • Definition: Not able to sit still or relax. • Example: DeMarcus was restless at carpet.

  5. Tropical • Adjective • Definition: Having to do with the hot, middle part of the earth. • Example: Annie went to a tropical island for vacation. Hurricane Andrew was a tropical storm.

  6. Rehearsal • Noun • Definition: A practice before an actual performance. • Example: The chorus had a rehearsal before the concert.

  7. Troublesome • Adjective • Definition: Causing worry. • Example: My little brother is troublesome.

  8. Attentively • Adverb • Definition: To pay close attention to something. • Example: The students listened to Miss Mathis attentively.
