  1. 2010 Kansas Mock Election

  2. On November 1st and 2nd, students across the state of Kansas will cast their ballots for national and state offices. They will vote in their own schools and the votes will be tabulated by students at the Kansas Election Headquarters. Shawnee Mission West students will be voting in their social studies classes next Monday and Tuesday.

  3. Because we want you to be informed voters, government students have put together information on the candidates and their beliefs. Please watch the following presentation and use the information when marking your ballot.

  4. U.S Senate Job Description Candidates Lisa Johnston Jerry Moran Michael Wm. Dann Joseph K. Bellis • Represent the entire state of Kansas in the US Senate in Washington, D.C. • Make laws for the United States of America.

  6. Jerry Moran(Republican) • Supports Energy Policy Act • Supports stopping Illegal Immigration • Protect human life

  7. Michael Wm. Dann(Libertarian) • Limit the size and power of the Federal Government • Lower Taxes • Clean and Healthy environment

  8. Joseph K. Bellis(Reform) • Give States more control • Legislators would read all bills before they vote on them • He would not spend money we don’t have
