Manchester’s Success Program Our program is designed to address the academic and social needs of identified ninth grade At Risk students Middle School counselors & teachers identify students through a check list of behavioral and academic traits Poor organizational skills Low motivation Poor attendance Single/no parent homes

    3. Troubling Statistics Research shows that 30% of youth in school will drop out According to the Times-Dispatch, one-quarter of freshmen NEVER make it to their senior year This percentage will increase without immediate intervention Society will bear the cost for the dropout prone Schools will lose funding in the “No Child Left Behind” Act Schools could lose accreditation status in Virginia
