  2. What Year Was This Brand Established? Nintendo was founded on September 23, 1889 by Fusajiro Yamauchi.

  4. The First Head Office of Nintendo This is the Nintendo Main Headquarters in Kyoto, Japan. Kyoto is the home of Nintendo, as it was founded here.

  5. Historical Development of Nintendo Nintendo started off as a small card shop. The handmade cards soon became popular, and Yamauchi hired assistants to mass produce cards to satisfy demand. They then moved on to toys and other ventures. Nintendo had then found a new market and the electronic era began. This followed several video game consoles and other electronics. This has turned Nintendo into what it is today, the world’s largest gaming company by revenue.

  10. Main Sites of Nintendo Around the World This is the main distribution and production center for Nintendo in North America. This center handles the Western Coast, Rocky Mountain, Midwestern, Hawaii, and Alaska regions. Another center in Atlanta handles the South and Northeast regions.

Abandoning previous ventures, Nintendo developed into a video game company, becoming one of the most influential in the industry and Japan's third most valuable listed company with a market value of over US$85 billion. As of October 18, 2010, Nintendo has sold over 565 million hardware units and 3.4 billion software units. Nintendo of America has engaged in several high-profile marketing campaigns to define and position its brand.
