Original DS • The lower display of the Nintendo DS is overlaid with a touch screen, designed to accept input from the included stylus, the user's fingers, or a curved plastic tab attached to the optional wrist strap • The touch screen allows users to interact with in-game elements more directly than by pressing buttons; for example, in the included chatting program, Picto Chat, the stylus is used to write messages or draw.

  3. DS lite • Input/Output: Ports for both Nintendo DS game cards and Game Boy Advance game paks • jacks for stereo headphones and a microphone. A removable cover for the Game Boy Advance game pak slot provides protection from dust. • Extended battery life compared to the original DS • With a full three-hour charge, the battery lasts fifteen to nineteen hours on the lowest brightness setting and five to eight hours on the highest brightness setting.

DSI • The built-in audio player feature called "Nintendo DSi Sound" serves as a voice recorder and music player • This player lets users adjust pitch and playback • The audio player lets users save and modify up to eighteen ten-second voice recordings done via DSi's internal microphone then apply them to songs • The "Nintendo DSi Camera" lets users modify photos with several options • Photos taken using the DSi can be synced to the Wii's photo channel

  5. DS Games • There are over 600 DS games (including games realised on DSi ware) • most Ds games have a multiplayer mode witch lets you launch wireless communications with other DS's

Flash cards • Flash cards are a great thing for people who like to experiment with games • They are also good for people who like a lot of games • They let you: • Put numerous copies of the same game on 1 card (great for experiments in-case you break the game • Put all you're favourite games on micro SD cards for free • Flash cards are a very cheap and very cool accessory for the DS DSL and DSi • they are great for homebrew
