THE MISSION IS LIFE ART & MUSIC FESTIVAL • A one of a kind event, inspired by the festival held last August in Yulin, China celebrating the art, music and history of some of the world’s most importantcultures • 2008 is dedicated to the vision of One world One Dream in honor of the 2008 Beijing Olympic games and will be presented in a total of 8 cities.

  3. YULIN INTERNATIONAL SHAANBEI FOLK FESTIVAL On August 26, 2007 more than 40 thousand people attended this event at the foot of the Great Wall in Yulin, China

SAN JUAN BAUTISTA , CAIS THE VENUE • Working closely with the City of San Juan Bautista, these events will be held throughout the commercial district of the town. • It will persuade people throughout the Bay area, California and around the world to discover San Juan Bautista and it’s history as a haven for art and culture.

  5. FOUR DAYS OF ART AND MUSIC The vision is to present 4 days of art exhibits, symposiums and educational events over Memorial Weekend designed to teach and entertain school age children and adults alike presenting artists representing calligraphy, paper cutting, visual arts and up close sessions with the performing artists.

  6. THE BIG CONCERT On each of the four days of art exhibits, symposiums and discussions, there will be concerts presenting performances by the invited artists representing China, Russia and the United States including Blues, Gospel, Country & Western, Latino, Native American and folk music styles.

  7. FROM THE UNITED STATES For more than 50 years Bobby Rush has delivered his special style of Blues and Soul Music known as FOLK FUNK. In 2007 Rush was honored by the Great Wall of China Society as a living pioneer of African American folk music. Bobby Rush is a member of the Memphis based Blues Foundation Hall of Fame

  8. FROM THE UNITED STATES The Jackson Southernaires have a long history of musical awards that have  made them one of the most loved gospel groups from Mississippi. They had their own radio show for forty-three years, and they also hosted their own television show called Gospel Unlimited.  The Jackson Southernaires were nominated for the Stellar Awards 3 times, and finally won the award in 1989. The Jackson Southernaires received a Grammy nomination for Thank You Mama in 1991.

  12. FROM RUSSIA TRADITIONAL SONG AND DANCE REPRESENTING A WIDE VARIETY OF RUSSIAN ETHNIC CULTURES

  13. FROM RUSSIA A very popular and celebrated folk singer and performer, Bili’s songs vary and include ritual songs, historical, ballads and carols.
