  4. While unpacking our 3rd grade learners use a checklist to make sure they are prepared for the day!

  6. Co- Teaching & Differentiation • Please reference the class website for the different models we will use throughout the year.

  7. Co- Teaching & Differentiation • Students will have the opportunity for intensive skill development through small groups. We are constantly performing ongoing assessment which allows us to decide which students require extensions, review, or remediation. We will increase the rigor of the curriculum we designed by challenging students thinking which can offer extensions to the lesson.

Curriculum Highlights • Reading and Literature Circles • Vocabulary • Shared Poetry • Multiplication • Science: Life Cycles, Astronomy, Energy, Human Body • Social Studies: Washington DC, Government, Economy • Testing- ANET and DC CAS • Field Trips- Mount Vernon, Natural History Museum, National Zoo, Imagination Stage, Astrodome, Capitol Building

  9. Mystery Star of the Week This helps students to build community and learn about their peers’ interests outside of the classroom.
