  16. Research Methods Across Disciplines

  17. Observations • There are distinct differences across disciplines, but an overwhelming majority retain a commitment to research methods training and undergraduate research. • Politics, with its split background in the humanities, appears the weakest of the four disciplines surveyed. • There is no strong differences in provision between Russell Group institutions and others. • There is a tendency for pre-1992 universities to show a stronger commitment to undergraduate research than post-1992 institutions for these four disciplines.
