IPOD Grant Summer 2009 Pamela Chew, Associate Professor Foreign Languages/ESL
Unforgettable accommodations for TCC students Unpack once and live like a native Experience daily Italian life
And for landlocked Oklahomans, a taste of the seaAnd for landlocked Oklahoma students, a taste of the Amalfi Coast everyday
The IPODG helped me to create this relationship of trust with Dr. Cristiana Panicco Founder and Director of SorrentoLingue Discussions are underway for a MOU to be signed in May, 2010
Next IPODG stop was the Renaissance CapitolFlorence, Italy Florence represents a more hurried, urban, touristic experience with a hundred daily diversions
Florence offers TCC students the realm of all arts in a location where English can be heard on every corner
The linguistic tradition of Dante Alighieri would be the deciding factor for this government approved language site for TCC students with activities offered by external agencies
To learn among the frescoes of the Renaissanceis a magical experience
The final IPODG concept was a private villa in Umbria where TCC students and faculty of the arts could practice their craft in peace and tranquility
A villa where students and faculty could collaborate on projects and cook together and discuss their interests
An isolated environment which would foster many discussions, not only for art students, but TCC students of history, language, and life
Thank you Tulsa Community College for providing the IPOD Grant which allowed me to do the footwork, build the bridges, and make the best decision for a TCC International Campus in Italy
