Definitions • “Blind contour” is a drawing exercise that allows you to “see” beyond what you think you see. • It’s NOT supposed to “look good” • Blind contour is used to “train your eye” to look for details.
First ½ of Project • Four students will volunteer to come up to the front of the class. • One student will come up at a time. • Everyone else will draw this person in the style of blind contour for 2 minutes. • Remember to NOT look down at your paper, and not lift your pencil off of your paper. • I will be the fifth volunteer.
Second ½ of Project (Day 2) • Brainstorm some of your favorite foods. • Write down at least 10 different foods that you like. • For example: • Ms. Blue likes sushi, pizza, ice cream, bananas, spaghetti, pineapple, fry bread, strawberries, cereal (honey nut cheerios), and cheesecake.
Second ½ of Project • Take five of these foods and turn the blind contour heads into these foods. • Decorate the background.
