  2. Meet The“ Unsinkable Ship” The Titanic was a ship built by the White Star Line between the years of 1909 and 1911. It was the length of 40 buses. The boat was so sturdy that the Shipbuilder magazine said that it was practically unsinkable.

  3. The Other Characters of This Story Captain Edward John Smith was the captain of the Titanic. He died when the ship sank because he was trying to calm everybody down so they could get in the lifeboats.

  4. The Voyage Their voyage was long, but simple. They were to sail out of Southampton on April 10,1912. They would sail to Cherbourg and then to Queenstown. After they left Queenstown, they would head straight to New York.

  5. “ We’ve Hit an Iceberg!” They had been sailing smoothly until they heard about a sighting of ice ahead of them. The captain said that they would just go around the ice, and they did not do that. There was so much ice that they couldn’t go around it. By the time they had decided to go around a different way, it was to late.

  6. “Carpathia To the Rescue!” It took the Titanic 2 hours and 40 minutes to sink all the way, and only 705 people out of the 2228 people on board survived. How those people survived is that they got into lifeboats and the Carpathia saved them. 3 more died on the boat, but most survived.

  7. Memories Of The Titanic Many families were upset when the people they were expecting to come in on the Titanic. Everyone who had not heard about the sinking of the Titanic was surprised to see the Carpathia come in with Titanic people. The people who had friends or family coming on the Titanic that survived were so happy to see them. Some others were not.

  8. The Titanic is Found! What is it like now? In 1985, Robert Ballard found the Titanic 2.5 miles under the North Atlantic Sea. He started the explorations of other people, and that led to some people pulling up pieces of the Titanic. This is a picture of what it is like now. It has been in the water for 101 years.

  9. My Rating 10 of 10 because I thought the book was a very good book. It gave a lot of information about it. (Click On Link To Go To The Titanic’s Wikipedia) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Titanic
