This report analyzes the factors influencing enrollment decisions of entering graduate students at NJIT, including re-enrollment of our own graduates, faculty contact, web presence, electronic contact, campus visits, US News ranking, university publications, and NJIT compared to other colleges.

  5. Faculty contact • For full-time students: • Personal/Email contact from faculty was one of the most influential factors in their decision to attend (21%) • For part-time students: • Personal/Email contact from faculty was a key influence in their decision to apply (22%) and attend (25%)

Web presence/Internet(students who never attended NJIT before) • Learned about NJIT from the Internet • 74% of full-time graduate students • 56% of the part-time graduate students • For full-time students • The NJIT webpage was a key factor in their decision to apply (42%) and attend (30%). • For part-time students • The NJIT webpage was a key factor in their decision to apply (36%) and attend (27%).
