Department of Applied Physics The Hong Kong Polytechnic University News & Events (2005-07~09) 07-28-2005:A papertitled "Analyzing core-shell structured zinc doped MgO wrapped Ba1-xSrxTiO3 nanoparticles" (Dr. J.Q. Qi as the first author and Dr. Wang as the third author) appears in the July 28, 2005 issue of Journal Of Physical Chemistry (Vol.109, p. 14006-010). 08-11-2005:Welcome!Dr. MIAO Jun joined our group for his post-doctoral research. Dr. Miao obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (supervisor: Professor ZHAO Bairu). Dr. Miao’s work at PolyU will be focused on multiferroic materials. 08-15-2005:A papertitled "Hydrogen-induced degradation in strontium titanate single crystals" (Dr. W.P. Chen as the first author and Dr. Wang as the third author) appears in the August, 2005 issue of Applied Physics A – Materials Science & Processing (Vol.81, p.631-33). 08-22-2005:Welcome!Mr. HEINDL Thomas from Germany joined our group. As a student helper, Mr. Heindl will assist Dr. Wang in his research. 08-25-2005:A papertitled "Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 thin film based ring resonators" (Miss Y.L. Cheng as the first author and Dr. Wang as the correspondence author) appeared recently in Integrated Ferroelectrics (Vol.70, p. 151-57). 09-21-2005:Welcome!Miss YUN Pan joined our group for her MPhil study.
