Order to a total value of Rs.3.5 Crs for 36 • sets obtained. • Order booking for Valves crosses 1000 Crs. mark for the first time. • Order worth Rs.75 Crs. received for Oil Field Equipment. CASH COLLECTION :- • Cash Collection of Rs.472 Crs achieved which is 21% higher • than the previous year.

  6. IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES • New Product Development: • Design developed for Hot Reheater Isolating device Size 28”-Class 900 in C12A Material and • supplied to Dadri 5 & 6 , Simhadri 3 and Jajjar 1, 500 MW Projects. • Modified Portable Safety Relief Valve developed and have been commercialised. • CE marking approval obtained for Electro-matic Relief Valve and Direct Water Level Gauge to • enable supply to Koniambo project . • Y Type Globe Valve-1500 class was successfully manufactured. These valves will have less pressure • drop in applications & these valves will replace existing T type valves in future. • Angle Type Turbine By Pass Valve AV 140 has been successfully manufactured and tested for • North Chennai 600 MW. The same type Valves will be supplied for all on going 600 MW projects. • Check Valve 1”4500 class manufactured which is highest rating in the forged steel category • required for super critical units. • Angle Drain Valve were successfully manufactured & commercialized. These valves were hitherto • imported for 250,500 and 600MW by Hardwar & Hyderabad. Expected turn over is 25 Crs • annually. Also NTPC has approved our Angle Drain Valves for Bongaigoan 2X 250 MW • Projects. .

  7. IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES • New Product Development: (contd…..) • Design developed for 15 new types of valves to 660 and 800 MW Super Critical Units. • Successfully developed Air diverter Valve (Spiess valve) for FBC & HRSG and supplied to SLPP- • GIPCL. Earlier this valve was imported from only one source M/s. Laun, Germany. • 4 nos of BHEL developed Severe Service Control Valves for Super Heater &Reheater Spray Lines • for Raichur 250MW Unit. • Parametric Analysis • Parametric Analysis for “High Pressure Gate Valves” successfully developed in association with • M/s Design Tech., Hyderabad. This will enable to develop any new size/rating within a • short time of 10 days. • Other highlights. • Extensive use of Reverse Auction in finalising Major Rate Contracts / Tenders for Castings , • Forgings and Sub-deliveries conducted for Procurement- resulted in saving of Rs. 625 Lacs . • Rate contract finalised for the first time for all Sub-contracting items. .

  8. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS (Contd…..) • Elbowdown Valve body developed in fully machined condition from a firm in • Coimbatore which is towards enhancing manufacturing capacity towards achieving for • 15000 MW capacity annually. • Outside source developed for electroplating, this is towards eliminating effluents • generation and to meet the guidelines of environmental concerns. • Elimination of threading operation in 20” -2850 class Gate Valves (Main Steam Stop • Valve) ,16” and 20” Quick Closing Non Return Valve leading to cycle time reduction. • Indigenous manufacture of pneumatic actuators for OFE successfully established and • supplied 50 Nos. • Record supply during the year :- • 26 Nos. of Main Steam stop valves for 500 MW as against 12 Nos. previous year. • 120 Nos. of Elbowdown Valve for 500 MW as against 42 Nos. during previous • year. • 11 Nos. 32”600# Cold Reheat Non Return Valve as against 3 Nos. during previous year. • 20 Nos. HP Bypass system – ARS 140 as against 4 nos during previous year. .
