  2. 2012 College App Week • 260 participating schools and organizations • 79 counties (including all GEAR UP TN counties!) • Participants included high schools, middle schools, higher education institutions, education foundations, and educational non-profit organizations

  3. College App Week Participants 10,325 seniors participated 14,213 applications submitted 64% of participating seniors would be first-generation college students. College App Week at Bradley Central High School

  4. Where Students Applied Tennessee’s public universities were the most common application recipients, with UT Knoxville and MTSU leading the way. 74% of students who submitted an application submitted only 1 or 2 applications. 62% of students reported that application fees at least somewhat influenced their number of submissions.

  5. Student Feedback 78% said that College App Week made the application process easier. 84% said College App Week made them more likely to seek assistance from teachers or counselors regarding college applications. 85% said it clarified their understanding of the college application process.
