  2. Wood • Most Alaskan houses are made out of wood. • The wood has been sanded and cut according to what the structure will look like. • Normal wood houses are one or two stories tall.

  3. Woodstoves • During the winter, fuel can be expensive so most Alaskans put in woodstoves within their home. • Having a woodstove makes heating the home easier and cheaper.

  4. Fish Wheel • Fish wheels provide a fast easy way to catch fish and the rushing water is able to provide hydropower used in electricity.

  5. Smoke House • With all the fish being pulled in by the fish wheel a smoke house is almost required. • A smoke house helps the fish dry out after being filleted, which helps with them being ready to eat faster.
