  2. MIP FEMA Revision Lead Role FunctionalityOverview Welcome to the FEMA Revision Lead tutorial of the “MIP Workbench: Revisions” course. The role of the FEMA Revision Lead is usually filled by a FEMA Project Engineer. FEMA Revision Lead Functionality: It is the role of the FEMA Revision Lead is to review and approve Letter of Map Revisions (LOMRs). A pending change request will allow the FEMA Revision Lead to download draft copies of the Revision Cover Letter, Determination Document, and any attachments or other pertinent material that the Task Lead has uploaded. The FEMA Revision Lead can then approve, approve with comments, or reject a project. The pending change request will also allow the FEMA Revision Lead to delete the existing uploaded documents so that they can upload new or revised documents on which they may have provided comments. MIP FEMA Revision Lead Role FunctionalityOverview: Log in The website to access the MIP is http://hazards.fema.gov Once you navigate to this webpage you must go to the login screen to login as an authenticated user by entering your username and password. NOTE: After 3 failed login attempts, you will be locked out and will need to contact MIPHelp to regain access. 4

  4. MIP FEMA Revision Lead Role FunctionalityOverview: Welcome Screen The workbench is comprised of various tabs which will lead you to different portals within the MIP. Once the workbench is accessed, the tabs available are: • Work Items • Project Dashboard • Reports & Form Letters • Search & Retrieve Data • Create Project Other useful links on the Welcome Screen: • Map Modernization – helpful links to FEMA main website • Tools & Links – allows Task Lead to upload to Content Manager outside the workflow • Learning – link to Learning Management System (LMS) along with other helpful links • Map Viewer – search for flood map info • Process Admin – tool for users with the PA role 4

MIP FEMA Revision Lead Role FunctionalityOverview: Workbench The FEMA Revision Lead’s workbench is the location where the activities Review Determination and/or Review Appeal or Protest can be accessed. Each tab on the workbench contains specific functionality: • Work Items • Displays all cases tracked in MIP based on user’s role, geography, and organization • Project Dashboard • Quick visual tracking tool • Reports & Form Letters • Run various reports and generate draft LOMR determination document and cover letter • Search & Retrieve Data • Find and download data that is stored in Content Manager • Create Project • Location where user’s with the Project Admin role can create projects 5

MIP FEMA Revision Lead Role FunctionalityReview Determination: Claim an Activity The Work Item List will display all projects associated with the FEMA Revision Lead’s role, geography, and organization. If another user has the same role, geography, and organization, then both users will see the same projects on their Work Item List. To claim a project, click the green Claim button. Once a project is claimed it will no longer appear on other user’s Work Items List. Once a project is claimed the Item Name will activate into a hot link which the user can click to launch the activity. Click the hot link to launch the activity 4

MIP FEMA Revision Lead Role FunctionalityReview Determination Review Determination: This is the activity where the FEMA Revision Lead will make one of the following actions: • Accept • Accept with Comments • Return • Concur Violation, Proceed • Concur Violation, Suspend Once one of these choices is selected from the Review Result dropdown menu, the Lead may check an option in the Reason for Return section, if applicable. They may provide comments which the Task Lead will be able to view on their Review screen once the project is pushed to their workbench. 4

  8. MIP FEMA Revision Lead Role FunctionalityReview Determination: Review Data Review Data Module: All information associated with the Review Data Received activity can be viewed from this module. To expand a single module, click the arrow located to the left of the module name. To view all modules, click the Expand All hot link to show all data fields and information entered.

MIP FEMA Revision Lead Role FunctionalityReview Determination: Complete Task Click here to expand the Work Item List Complete Task: A brief reminder message will be displayed reminding that once the Complete Task button is clicked, the FEMA Revision Lead will no longer be able to work in this activity and the project will then progress to the next step in the workflow, which belongs to the Task Lead.
