  2. Contents This presentation will feature a perspective of what our lives would be like without the presence of computers. Including what products may or may not exist without the development of computers.

  3. No More Computers? • Not as efficient • Not as productive • More costly in the sense that time = money • Therefore it costs more to produce something • Would unemployment be higher because of less jobs? • No more IT professionals

  4. No Smartphones? Nooo! • No more mobile access to the internet • No more music on the go • No more digital camera w/ editing capabilities • We couldn’t create, edit, and email Word, Excel, and PowerPoint docs

  5. There’s No Longer An App For That • Cell Phone apps would’ve never been created • No more convenient access to your bank info • No more instant mobile access to social networking sites • Apps have revolutionized the way we access our info

  6. If not, good-bye web-based video sites • No more Netflix • No more Hulu • The internet revolutionized the way we access info and communicate Would we still have the Internet?

  7. Redbox Anyone? • Traditional video stores are being replaced by video kiosks • They’re more convenient and efficient • We wouldn’t have Redbox w/o computers • We wouldn’t have Blockbuster’s Blue Box w/o computers

  8. No Internet, No Websites • Facebook wouldn’t exist w/o computers • Twitter wouldn’t exist • YouTube wouldn’t exist • Tumblr wouldn’t exist • Instagram would exist

  9. Would we still have video games? • Most consoles are specialized computers • They’re more sophisticated today than ever before • Modern consoles do more than just play video games • You can watch movies, access the Internet, run web-based apps and more • The Xbox 360 and PS3 wouldn’t exist w/o the presence of computers

  10. Good-bye Microsoft • We wouldn’t have any Windows mobile phones • We wouldn’t have the new Microsoft Surface tablet • We wouldn’t have the revolutionary Microsoft Surface Tabletop • We would have MS Office Click video to play

Microsoft Surface • The MS Surface tabletop revolutionized the way we utilize computer technology • It simplifies daily activities • Without the computer industry we wouldn’t have it • The tablet has revolutionized the tablet market • Its much more functional than previous Apple competitors • Would we be able to develop it w/o computers?

  12. Microsoft office • Without MO I wouldn’t be able to create this PowerPoint • MO is essential to most companies business activities • Companies utilize each aspect MO • MO is essential to logisticians who utilize excel for their business processes

  13. The iPod wouldn’t exist • The iPod revolutionized the way we access/listen to our music • The iMac modernized the computer industry • Would we still have the iMac w/o Apple? • Would there be an Apple w/o computers? Apple Who?

Would we still have the iPhone? • The iPhone modernized the way we access our info • It helps us organize our lives and remain informed • Good-bye giant iPod (iPad) • The iPad broke the ice in the tablet market • Without computers we wouldn’t have the iPad • Tablets are stiff competition for the laptop industry • No more iPad mini • No computer, no iPad, no iPad mini Apple Who (cont’d)
