Upgrades For Run8 | PHENIX, BNL HBD HV Control System HBD Meeting :: March 4th, 2008 QUICK UPDATE • “HBD Real-time Simulation Project” since December 7th , 2007 – making HV control crash tests in the PHENIX environment possible • Discharge Resistor changed to 10K  discharge time issue solved | now ~ 1ms • LeCroy’s attempt to self-restart after trip has been completely blocked by recovery routine on PIC18F4620/8722 Microcontroller on relay board • HV Control for experts with enhanced features, like P/T data life remote access and threshold control, in development From LeCroy 1471 To Resistor Chain Connect Relay Discharge Relay 10K HBD HV Control & Monitoring System Manuel Proissl Page 1 of 5
