King Tut’s Family and Parentage • King Tut is called a king’s son, but it is not certain which son he was born from • He was originally thought to be the son of Amenhotep III, and his wife Queen Tiye, but later research confirmed that Queen Tiye would have been too old to have children • Now researchers believe that he was the son of Akhenaton, and his wife Queen Kiye • King Tut may have been married to Ankhasenamon at about 13 years old • It is said that he may have had two kids, but it is not

King Tut’s Death • King Tut’s death is not certain • In 1968 X-rays were taken and revealed on the lower back of the skull, a subdural hematoma • Also when he was hunting he fell of his chariot , and broke his leg • After his accident he lived for about 2-3 months before he eventually died • In the end King Tut lived to be 19 years old • His tomb, in the Valley of Kings, was the most complete Ancient Egyptian royal tomb ever found
