  2. 7.1 Student support services meet the needs of students, are reviewed, and are aligned with the vision, beliefs, mission, and learning expectations. • Scheduling based on test data, previous grades, and student needs (i.e. extra time for areas of difficulty) • Individualized instruction • Individualized analysis of student data • 504, special education, gifted, talented • Interventions during the school year • Summer school

  3. 7.2 Student services coordinated with school, home, and community. • Parent center • Parent nights (Title I, math, nutrition, ILEAP, GEE, etc) • Parent facilitators or counselors at every school • Newsletters • Coordination with businesses for work experience • Grade reporting • Local newspaper • Web site

  4. 7.3 Written emergency and security plans ensure safety and care of students and stakeholders. • Every school has a crisis management plan; written plan and practice drill procedures in place.

  5. 7.4 Secure, accurate, and complete student records system in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations • JPAMS • State database • Federal reporting next year • LEADS

  6. 7.5 Provides health, counseling, nutrition, safety, co-curricular, and transportation services. • School nurses • School counselors/ parent facilitators • School food services • Nutrition grants • Nutrition guidelines from the state • Crisis management plans • Variety of activities for boys and girls • Certified bus drivers

  7. 7.6 Develops student decision-making skill, ethical and lawful conduct, and responsible citizenship. • Students involved in academic decisions • Handbook/ agenda at each school outline school ethics, expectations and conduct • Drug testing policies • Character education

  8. 7.7 Process for developing and implementing written guidelines for student conduct and attendance that is communicated to students, parents, and staff. • Conduct grades at lower levels • Calls to parents for absences • Absences displayed on report cards • Chronic absenteeism addressed • Conduct expectations signed by parents, in handbooks, and displayed in classrooms • Teachers keep attendance
